4. From my knowledge of and acquaintance with the said

Walter Guthrie Erwin I am able to and do state that he is

of good character and in every respect fit to become a

Subject of the British Empire and I feel certain that if

permitted to become such a Subject he will always remain

loyal to His Britannic Majesty. I am enabled to make the

foregoing statements owing to the fact that I have for many

years been in personal contact with the said Walter Guthrie

Erwin.

AND I make this solemn Declaration conscientiously

believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions

of the statutory Declarations Act 1855.
